Description

About

All Destiny Jigs are hand poured and hand assembled one at a time in Michigan USA. Destiny Jigs are small finesse jigs, similar in size to Bitsy Bugs, but that's where the similarities stop. Unlike many other finesse jigs, Destiny Jigs are perfectly matched with a high quality trailer in proven colors and designs. Attention to detail, quality materials, custom colors, precise sizing, slow fall-rate, and the "stand up" profile of the jig have been brought together in one awesome jig: The Destiny Jig.

I fished the Destiny jig on a couple of different trips. One trip, I made sure to fish the jig for a good bit of time in & around some rocks. I didn't baby it...I even made sure to cast onto dry rocks a couple of times to see how the paint held up. A couple of small chips which was expected but nothing major. The jig also was able to be fished without alot of hangups in the rocks.

I also fished the jig in several brushtops. The jig slid through the thickest of them with ease. I fished a lizard in the same tops & had alot more trouble getting it through some of the tops.

I am definately not a jig fisherman & cannot claim to know much about jigs but the brush gaurd seemed a little too long & stiff. I was not able to catch a fish on the jig so I do not know if it effected hook-ups at all...it is just something I noticed that seemed a little stiffer than other jigs I have fished.

All in all...I would definately recommend this jig. I have not seen many jigs that stand up as much as this one. With a craw trailer on it, the trailer is in the air like a crawfish in a defensive position.

The jig is still tied on and will get tried out ALOT more in the near future. I will be sure to post further reviews.

Pros: The paint held up great in the rocks & this jig slid right through every brush pile I ran it through.

I like the setup, just needs a stronger hook, thicker wire maybe.

Pros: Perfect for finessing, and light tackle work
Cons: Very thin wire hook. Lost a good fish when hook broke??!?
