Chosen as one of the Best 50 Lures of All Time by Field & Stream Magazine April 2006!

The Splash-Tail attracts fish using the sound of its propulsion through the water, along with alternately short and long jerking actions that create a large arching wake. A conventional swisher-type lure can swim only three stop-and-go actions, but Splash-Tail can complete five stop-and-go actions, making it much more enticing to the hungry fish. Our unique ball-bearing double swisher propeller-an industry first-effectively reduces friction while making for a smoother, more rapid propeller rotation. And thanks to the ball-bearing mechanism you can make the Splash-Tail swim over shorter pitch than any other swisher available today.

This propbait has precision-made fore and aft propellers, each affixed to a metal sleeve that helps the prop turn more easily and precisely. Most other propbaits do not have such a sleeve. Mostly you see just loose prop.

Propbaits are relatively unused, bass don't get to see them much. That's why you must use them a lot. You can go down a hard-hit bank or through a community hole where bass have wizened up to being pelted by more popular lures. Tie something on they've not yet seen. On some days it seems almost every jaded bass there will take a swipe at a novel lure type like a propbait that they have not seen yet.
