The Fat Rap works great using the “Bump-the-Stump” method. Based on the fact that big bass, and smallmouth, will be concealed near the shelter of an ambush point. Look to bump it on the retrieve. The lure’s strong plastic lip should fend off most hangups. Another technique is “Cranking.” When over points, rock piles or sloping weed beds, cast to the shallow area of the structure and retrieve down the slope, bumping the bottom Highly recomended. if you fish for different species other then Bass you must have a few of those in your tackle bag.
