Fishing this lure Texas rigged with a 1/16oz weight(not pegged) gave it an entirely different action and produced fish. Normal slow fall rate using it weightless is not similar to a fluke. Since the tail was a different brighter color, it gives it a better profile through the water. The softness of the bait was unbelievable. The design and care taken with the details, such as hand glueing the eyes shows the pride in making a great product that catches fish.

Pros: Softness, design, salt impregnated and scented, hand placed eyes, custom colored watermelon with a chartreuse pearl tail worked great in the local brackish waters.

I have been using the El Grande 6" minnow now for several months. These lures have produced good fish for me on every outing and has become my "go to" bait when the fishing is slow or tough. The colors, texture, quality, and durability of these lures is unsurpassed. The tail action of thee lures is like nothing I've ever seem. I fish them on a 5/0 weightless hook with a hitchiker or TX rigged. This lure can be fished slow, walk the dog, or dropped into holes in lily pads and grass beds. They can be easily "skipped" under docks, piers and downed trees and cover.The most productive colors I have found so far are the shad, blue smoke, tilapia, and blue gill. I highly recommend these baits!

This bait continues to produce fish. We tore the bass up using these baits on a shaky head, during a recent trip to Table Rock Lake. The tails have a TON of action, enticing bass to bite. The best thing is the versatility of the El Grande Lures Minnow. You can fish it weightless just below the surface, jig it along the bottom with a shaky head, and everything in between. If you want to catch fish, and lots of them- get stocked up on these "Minnows"!
