I had a 21 ft Blazer with a 225 promax with a 27 pitch power tech 3 blade prop, gps was 74.6 switched to a 27 tempest and gps was 79.2.... recently tried it on a 21 ft Skeeter i-class with 250 yahama, 3 blade yahama prop, gps 71.2... put on a 27 tempest and speed went up to 73.8 gps. However water pressure also rose from 20 lbs to 30 lbs. so I raised the jackplate about 3/8 of an inch, water pressure dropped back to 20 lbs. and gps speed went to 75.2... Tempest is a great performance prop.
Common
Pros: Good hole shot, great top end
Cons: Metal is very strong, have bent several prop shafts instead of blade damage.

I have run a 27 on my merc 250 for about 6 months now and although I have tried other props nothing gets me out of the hole quickly with the top end speed that I achieve with this prop (75.2 GPS with a 1600lbs hull and full tournament load).
Common
Recommend to Others: Yes
Pros: Great prop that does what it advertises.
Cons: doesn't prevent chine walk like a 4 blade will
