Good crankbait reels around the $100 price range are few and far between and I think the Citica is top of the heap. There are a few things I don't like about it like the fact that it's really heavy and bulky but it's performance is outstanding. I've already boated several nice fish with this reel and it has no trouble taking up stripping out line. The drag has performed flawlessly for me on a couple drum and gar over 10lbs so I know a 5lb bass would be no trouble at all. I put it on a Falcon Expert 7' M cranking rod but it really doesn't match up well. The Expert is a slim blank and this reel feels much too large on it. It does match up well with bigger cranking rods like the Cara Deep Cranker though.

One of the most popular low-profile bass reels ever--a legend among those who like to flip craws, toss jigs, fish topwaters, Carolina rig, or pitch crankbaits, and a great choice for anglers chasing saltwater inshore species as well.

Pros: One of my favorite baitcasters for sure.
The 200 is right hand and the 201 is left hand
Fast burner - 7.0:1 Gear Ratio. High Efficiency Gearing .

Very light reel and made of One Piece (Aluminum Body) Precision Aluminum Magnumlite Spool .

My new favorite reel. To me it out does my curado's. Breaks are great and you can change quickly. I can also throw just about anything over 1/8oz easily. I also like how it casts into the the wind. Its like there is nothing to stop it.

Pros: Very smooth casting. Plenty of power. Very small profile. Brakes system is very adjustable and easy to use. Made of all aluminum.
Cons: Handle may be considered to small for fishing heavy cover or bigger lures

I picked this reel up because the Revo S was out of stock and I'm really glad I did. I already knew the drag was lighter than I like but this was going on my Vibrashock rod and didn't need huge drag pressure. This reel casts a long way and I think it's a bit smoother than the Revo but the profile isn't quite as low. Overall I think this reel better suited my application than the Revo but I wouldn't think of fishing really heavy cover with it.

I just started using Shimano reels and so far the casting smoothness and retrieve are excellent. I have used several different brands of reels over the years and the Shimano is the easiest for making any type of adjustment. I have had no trouble getting use to the reel. With the sleek design of the reel, it fits my hand really well and makes fishing more comfortable. There is no doubt that I will be using Shimano reels for a long time.
