Over five decades have passed since we built the first Skeeter, which just so happened to be the world’s first bass boat. Since then, we’ve been setting the standard, raising the bar and leaving the rest of the boating industry in a wake of innovation.

It was way back in 1948 that Holmes Thurmond designed and launched the first Skeeter boat. By no means was it the last “first” for Skeeter. In 1961, we built the first bass boat from fiberglass, a huge leap forward in performance and durability. Then in 1975, Skeeter introduced the

”Wrangler,” the first V-bottom bass boat ever built. As time passed, Skeeter introduced a host of other innovations: the first full-length rod box, the first bass boat rated for a 150 HP, and the first to introduce “space age” composite materials with the X-Treme and X-Cel composite construction. From then on, cutting-edge technology and attention to detail have been the key ingredients of securing value for long-term owner satisfaction.

I bought my skeeter used 2 years ago. 1st let me say i love it and I will only own a skeeter. The first time I took the boat out I noticed a little water in the hull when I pulled the plug in less then a year it got to whare the auto bilge pumps would kick on about every 15 minutes while I was on the water. I found where the water was coming in, around the jackplate the transom had a crack and thats where the water was coming in. I took it to the dealership where the original owner bought it and they wouldnt even talk to me. I took the boat to the skeeter owners tournament. I found the head of warranty department and let him look at it. The boat was out of warranty by 5 years and I wasn't the original owner and they took the boat back to Texas and replaced the transom and delivered it back with no charge at all. Now the boat is used atleast 3 times a week and I love it. I have no complaints and the customer service is second to none. EAT.SLEEP.FISH.

Overall I am very satisfied with my Skeeter. Great maneuverability and handling, ease of towing and fantastic fish-ability. Minor issues with the live well pumps were handled immediately by the dealer. I have no complaints and am very happy when I get it on the water.

Super boat,handles well and keeps me dry. Runs 50 mph GPS which is plenty fast enough for me. Rod storage and dry storage is really good and plenty of room.
Only thing that could be improved on is the livewell is a little small especially for tournaments.
Other than that I love my Skeeter.

I love the way it handles at high speed and rough water. It rides alot better than my brothers other name brand boat which is comparable in size and price but does not have the horsepower or features that my Skeeter has. Keeping in mind that they are features that came with the boat standard or were in the boat at the dealer when I bought it. We purchased the same day but different brands at different dealers I paid $250 more for mine than he on his but there is no comparison in performance his came with a Mercury 225 and mine with the Yamaha 300 HPDI. He tried! But no chance, I was waiting for him at our favorite fishing hole! Had one on my line when he finished the 11 mile run to the hole. Our fishing buddies left us after the 2nd day so I rode with him on Saturday and he with me on Sunday. That evening at the boat ramp he admitted I got the better deal. Not taking anything away from his boat it really is a nice boat but it seems they spent more time building a pretty boat instead of a hardcore Bass Boat which is what I have. I love it! This is the first boat I buy brand spanking new and my first Skeeter. Just got tired of buying other peoples problems and worries. I have none so far and I love my Skeeter! Heavy load with 2 250lb.fishermen full of fuel 78.2 mph, at 5800rpm and could still maybe use a little higher pitch, seems like the engine is not using all 300 with the 27" it came with. Dreamboat is a reality now! Thanks Skeeter!
