About

Dreams are what give us our futures, and memories open our hearts. Rond and Jan Pierce along with their cration fo Bass Cat Boats has fulfilled a lot of our dreams over the years. Ron's first dream of a hand built boat was stored on the front porch fo his parents home. He ra it with his grandfathers outboard, suually without Granddad Bill knowing it. The dream opened up with a little cigar boat that had turning strakes still used today on some very popular brands. Starting Bass Cat as an innovating, always changing company. Almost as if it were the farm club for boating products.

The Puma is probably the most innovative tournament boat since the Pantera II and Sabre of 1988. Then there is the new wide body hull fo larger engines. Both with European styling which many only try to achieve, and agian claim to have. Though again we were the first. No doubt in the future some other company will announce their new exclusive, or inovative new idea similar to a wider beam, wider bottom, recess pedal area, firberglass floor, transom, batery charger, or other features which we introduced first to bass fishing. Though that's OK, we are perfectly happy to remain the anglers "Farm Club" of ideas, and innovations for years to come.

Fit and Finish of the boat is Above Excellent and typical of Bass Cat Quality. Much more storage than my old Bass Cat, and the overall deck layout is well designed. The boat is 19 feet, but fishes like a 21 foot boat because of the recessed front foot pedal. It rips out of the hole and runs very well at top end. This PII is very well designed, and the only improvement I can think of would be a drain on the left compartment of the cooler, as well as a redesign to allow the cooler lid to be opened without touching the consoles.
