Overall I have been very happy with this boat. It handles great, smooth ride, and with the 4 blade prop; great hole shot! Only things I have been disappointed in; gelcracks, smaller deck, and not enough storage room.

For my first boat, i don't think i could have picked a better rig to buy. The Javelin a smooth, comfortable ride that handles rough water better than most boats. Tack on the Johnson 225HO and this boat has a great hole shot, good top end speed (74MPH) and there are endless things that can be done to quicken all the above. As for fishablility, this boat is perfect for the boater and the non-boater. It has a huge back deck and deep compartments for the non-boater and plenty of room to work! When riding in this boat, you sit down in it, not up on it so it gives you a better piece of mind when running in rough water. If were to have a choice, i wouldn't do anything different....too bad Javelin's aren't made anymore......i'd buy a new one for sure!
